Birhen sa Regla Then and Now

then & now...

Birhen sa Regla Church
Location: Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines

The original church was made of stone and was demolished during 1960's by Dutch priests who were running it then to pave way for the constraction of the new church.
It was year 1735 when the local residents of the then Opon town chose the Black Virgin as their patroness. And i assume the old or original church was constructed as early as 1735.

too bad they miss to preserve the old structure.
